I draw some pretty weird stuff so I hope you're okay with that. If not,

!!! MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR GHOST OF TSUSHIMA !!!

Have you ever played a game without the sound effects and just the music? In this series, I'll be highlighting my favorite sequences of sound from levels I enjoyed. Best experienced with headphones!

With the Playstation 4 era coming to a close, they couldn't have picked a better swan song to play than Ghost of Tsushima. The game is beautiful, not just in its graphics but also with the characters and of course, the music. The game's atmosphere can quickly go from a serene landscape to a battle torn arena with just a change of song. I've always been a long time fan of Sucker Punch Productions but it wasn't until I played their latest project that I realized that I grew up playing their games. Sly Cooper and Infamous have always been close to my heart and I'm happy to say that I have room for Ghost of Tsushima as well.

This episode of Messing w/ Medleys is not only the trickiest one to record but it's also the longest. I had to record several versions of the same fights, some with sound effects and others without. What's odd is that some sound effects still play during gameplay even if the volume is set to 0. And of course, the enemy and teammate AI can be unpredictable at times. It was really difficult to anticipate attacks when the sound effects and voices are muted. Speaking of which, a good portion of the finale bits have no music so I opted to have the voices and sound effects enabled to liven up the scene and keep the story consistently paced. So yeah, I guess I had to bend the rules a bit for this episode.
